Embassy of the People’s Republic of China in Nepal organized  awarding ceremony for annual competitions and Chinese education reception. In the ceremony, the Chinese Embassy awarded winners of the 18th ‘Chinese Bridge’ Chinese Proficiency Competition, 10th Ambassador Chinese speech competition, 9th Chinese Cultural Talent Competition, 4th and 5th ‘China in My Mind’ painting competition.

Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the People’s Republic of China to Nepal H.E. Mr. Chan Song said the competitions have further consolidated the friendly foundation for the two countries and increased the people’s mutual understanding.  He expressed the hope  that China and Nepal friendship last forever and pass on from generation to generation.

Nepalese students performed national anthems of China and Nepal on the occasion. Students in the event performed Chinese dance and song. Chinese education reception also took place. Nepalese students were actively involved in the Chinese art exhibition organized outside the auditorium.

The Chinese Embassy in Nepal, Nepal-China Cultural and Educational Council and Volunteers Home for International Chinese Language Education jointly organized the ceremony. Teachers and students from various schools of Nepal, Chinese Language teachers, intellectuals, Media persons and representatives of Nepalese civil society were present in the program. Embassy’s Officers, Officials and Chinese community also attended the ceremony.
