Health Emergency Operation Center (HEOC), Ministry of Health and Population (MoHP) with technical and financial support from WHO conducted a two day National Workshop and Hands-on training on Hospital Safety Index Plus (HSI+) app at Kathmandu on 3-4 October 2023. The Opening Ceremony of the workshop was chaired by Dr. Prakash Budhathoki, Chief, HEOC and Spokesperson, MoHP in presence of Dr. Dipendra Raman Singh, Additional Secretary, MoHP; Dr. Anup Bastola, Chief, Cuative Service Division; Dr. Runa Jha, Director, National Public Health Laboratory; Hira Kumari Niraula, Chief, Nursing and Social Security Division, Department of Health Services. A total of 110 participants from Hub Hospitals, Provincial Health Ministries, Health Directorates, Partners participated in the workshop and hands-on training. The major objective of the workshop is to orient all hub hospitals, as well as focal persons from health governing ministries and provide hands-on training on use of the HSI+ app. HSI+ application helps in electronic capturing and presentation of digital versions of Hospital Disaster Preparedness and Response Plan (HDPRP). It also notifies the HEOC and respective hospitals when updates of the HDPRP are necessary or when additional information/actions are needed.
